What's inside
KDF-55 (copper-zinc media) and calcium sulfite reduce chlorine as water passes through. Cotton and stainless steel mesh hold the media in place and help keep loose particles out. Water leaves through the perforated cap at the bottom.

Which showerhead does it fit?
The Glossmere showerhead only. The cartridge is made for its housing and won't fit other shower heads.
How do I swap it?
Unscrew the head, take out the used cartridge, drop in the new one and screw the head back together. No tools needed.
Does it soften water?
No, and we won't pretend it does. It reduces chlorine. For mineral buildup from hard water, use a chelating or clarifying shampoo once a month.
What about chloramine?
Some cities use chloramine instead of chlorine. We haven't tested chloramine yet, so we won't claim it. Check your city's water report, or email us and we'll help.
