The product
What does Glossmere do?
Glossmere is a shower head with a replaceable filter cartridge. The cartridge uses KDF-55 and calcium sulfite to reduce chlorine in your shower water.
Does it soften my water?
No. Glossmere reduces chlorine. It is not a water softener and doesn't change how hard your water is.
Is it certified?
No. We don't claim any third-party certification for Glossmere.
What is it made of?
The cartridge housing is made of ABS plastic, which is tough, light and holds up to hot showers. Inside are KDF-55, calcium sulfite, cotton and steel mesh.
Installing
Do I need a plumber or tools?
No. It screws onto a standard shower arm by hand. Unscrew your old head, screw Glossmere on, and run the water for a moment.
How do I replace the cartridge?
Unscrew the head, swap the cartridge, and screw it back together. No tools needed.
It's dripping where it meets the shower arm. What do I do?
That's usually the washer not sitting flat. Reseat it flat and hand-tighten. If it still drips, email us and we'll sort it out.

What does pre-order mean?
We place our production order once enough pre-orders are in, so your order ships up to a month after you place it. Pre-orders ship in the order they're placed, and we'll keep you updated by email along the way, then send tracking when yours is on its way. You can cancel for a full refund any time before it ships.
